This means that every time the framerate goes below 60fps (say, 59fps), the game will output 30 frames per second until the frame time goes below 16.This product entitles you to download both the digital PS4™ version and the digital PS5™ version of this game. But the screen tearing has not been fixed.įurthermore, it seems that activating vsync through the console commands uses double buffered vsync (not 100% sure). Both high framerate and high quality presets are now rendering 4k. Sorry for the grammar or syntax I tried my bestĮdit : new update on the 9th of June. I was waiting for the patch to play it on console (I played it on PC before) but now I think I'll just play below zero on my PC. I love subnautica but all this is bullcr*p. Or maybe just add the PC graphical settings to adjust the game to our likings.

But changing a 0 to a 1 in the setting file to enable vsync takes 5 minutes, tops.

I understand that they didn't add adaptative triggers etc. Now, the patch is free after all, so I really can't complain, but I mean they went through the hassle of making a patch, just to waste it by doing such weird decisions (mistakes?). The only things it adds (as far as I can tell) is anti-aliasing, screen space reflections and maybe ambient occlusion, all of which don't justify the game running at the same resolution and framerate on PS5 as it does on PS4. I'm not playing a game with that much screen tearing for no apparent reason. I don't remember playing a game on console with so much screen tearing, like, ever. The "high framerate" preset brings a TON of screen tearing, because there is no vsync applied for some reason.
